NHBF Hair&Beauty Community Awards 2020 Highly Commended Helping The Environment

Winterbourne Dauntsey salon recognised at Hair & Beauty Community Awards

The city of Salisbury is celebrating the achievements oflocal Winterbourne Dauntsey salon, Hair by Carla, who have who have been awarded special recognition for their contribution to helping the environment as part of the Hair & Beauty Community Awards 2020 run by the National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF). 

The NHBF’s Community Awards were set up in 2019 to recognise that as well as providing hair and beauty services to clients, many are also community hubs, playing an instrumental role in improving their local communities, fundraising for good causes and promoting health and wellbeing in the community they serve. With business feeling the strain due to Coronavirus, there has never been a more important time to highlight some of Salisbury’s fantastic businesses and the important role they play in the community.

Hair by Carla was given the award for their amazing efforts to operate their business with the protection of the environment at its core. The salon it has adapted its business model to use natural and sustainable, vegan, organic, biodegradable, eco-friendly, locally sourced, recycled and reusable products wherever possible with an ethos to cause no harm to the planet, bio system and sea life.

Their entry was so inspiring, showing it is possible to go above and beyond not just for their clients but for the greater good and the ways in which we could all make small changes to really make a difference.”
